Too Cool for Internet Explorer

Skype

There is a small fixable problem with the hang-up sound, but other than that, Skype works fine on FC5:

Download the fedora rpm from Skype's homepage. The name of the rpm may vary according to the current version.

Install the rpm:

% rpm -ivh skype-1.2.0.18-fc3.i586.rpm

I don't know if they have fixed this bug, but if Skype keeps the sound device busy after hangup, you can fix it by renaming the hangup.wav file.:

% cd /usr/share/skype/sound/
% ls
busy4.wav call_in.wav call_out.wav hangup.wav im.wav
% mv hangup.wav hangup.wav-disabled

These Volumen control settings work for me...
